Upper Nihotupu Dam Consent Upgrade Project

The Upper Nihotupu dam was upgraded to meet the latest resource consent, dam safety and operational requirements. The upgrade involved installation of a new intake standpipe, raw watermain and dedicated dam safety line. Two buildings were constructed at the top and base of dam to house the associated plant. MTL was engaged to provide the preliminary / detailed design and to manage and commission the project.
